KINGS OF LYDIA. Alyattes, circa 610-560 BC. Hemihekte – 1/12 Stater (Subaeratus, 10 mm, 1.87 g), Lydo-Milesian standard. 𐤥𐤠𐤩𐤥 ('walw' in Lydian) Confronted lion heads. Rev. Two incuse squares, one larger than the other. Cf. SNG Kayhan 1012 (hekte). Weidauer 111-112. Rare. Somewhat rough and with light breaks in plating, otherwise, very fine.
